“The Worship Place”
The hymn “The Worship Place” is arranged for mixed choir (SATB) and piano. Carlie Burdett wrote the words and music in 2006 and dedicated it to The Worship Place, an Interdenominational Church in Sun City Texas, Georgetown, Texas. It was written at the request of choir director Frank Elrod, who also gave editorial advice to the composer. Since its premier in 2007, the piece has become a theme song, of sorts, for the church.
This recording was performed by The Worship Place Choir on July 26, 2015. It was directed by Minister of Music Jim Clayman and accompanied by Organist Lorene Thomas and Pianist Lynn Lee.
