Carlie’s Last Song Performed!

At the end of the program of the inaugural Shapes in the Clouds event on May 14th, 2026, four singers got up to perform Carlie’s very last song that she composed at the end of her life. Professional musician and friend Dan Torosian helped Carlie’s daughter Dorie translate the notes she found on Carlie’s phone into sheet music. Then, Professional Singer Kylah Magee found and recruited the full quartet:

Kylah Magee: Soprano
Elias Lopez: Tenor
Grace Taylor: Alto
John O’Brien: Bass

They had met up and learned the found song, rehearsed, and prepared. Dorie told the story of how the song came about, and the house lights were lowered as the singers took the stage. Silence fell over the audience and the singers performed “Echoes of Life,” Carlie’s very last song.

It was truly inspiring and beautiful! Thank you to Carlie for sharing her musical talents with the world!
